Blue Origin is an American aerospace manufacturer and spaceflight services company established in 2000 by Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos. It is developing technologies to enable private human access to space with the objective to lower costs and increase reliability. It is also developing reusable launch vehicles with the goal of dramatically reducing the cost of space access. Blue Origin is owned solely by Jeff Bezos, who funds the company using his personal fortune.
